In this first post, I’ll delve into the story of SEEDS Realty and how this idea took root right here in Central Park.
Earlier this year, I joined Focus Real Estate and began contributing regularly to the Central Park Scoop and its social media platforms. Working with Joe Phillips and the entire team is/was an incredible experience.
Recently, Joe informed the team of his plans to restructure Focus Real Estate. The new structure did not include the current agent team. We all still get to work together, network, and collaborate, we’ll just be doing it from different brokerages. Initially unexpected, this news prompted me to reflect, strategize, and consider what was next for me.
When I moved to Denver, I considered opening a new brokerage. Deciding to hold off and gain some local experience, first, was a good idea. From a career standpoint, I found thetransition from Austin real estate, to Denver real estate, to be a smooth one. There were similarities between Texas and Colorado real estate practices and the functionality within the two contracts. Drawing on my real estate experience in Austin, TX, where I also owned a boutique brokerage, I decided to establish a new boutique brokerage here in Denver.
My previous experience taught me the value of tailored solutions and client-focused practices, that a boutique brokerage can offer. Those offerings often diverge from rigid corporate policies. Real estate transactions are inherently diverse and complex, influenced by factors like unexpected events (hail storms) or changes in personal circumstances. As a broker/owner, I can swiftly adapt and prioritize client needs, to continue in a forward direction.
In SEEDS Realty, I have incorporated the best of my experience and I will continue to develop and evolve the business with the changing market and to the benefit of my Central Park real estate buyers and sellers. Some say the devil is in the details. In real estate, I have found that dollars are in the details. For that reason, I collaborate with and work with tradespeople and vendors to help sellers create a “show-ready” space, prior to listing their homes for sale. Depending on the home, that can include professional window cleaning and carpet cleaning, special attention to the yard, and staging specifically selected to showcase the features and benefits of my client’s homes. In many instances, the fees incurred during the home preparation stage are included in my listing fees. I can do this because SEEDS Realty does not have any franchise fees or other expenses incurred by other brick-and-mortar businesses.
Since moving here, Central Park has welcomed my family warmly, mirroring the community spirit we cherished in Austin. We're grateful for the opportunity to contribute to our neighborhood and I appreciate the opportunity to be part of Central Park real estate.
